Message from the Dean

We hope this website will provide valuable information to our prospectus students, staff, collaborators and development partners. We do appreciate your desire and effort to help the faculty improve on the web-design and information system. The Faculty of Science and Education (FSE) is one of the seven (7) Faculties of Bustema University. It was one of the first Pioneer faculties established in Bustema University. The Faculty is located at Nagongera within Nagongera Township in Tororo d istrict about 17 kilometers from Tororo town along Tororo-Busolwe road. Nagongera campus was previously a National Teachers’ College (NTC) and was given to Busitema University in 2006. The campus is set on 850 acres of land which provides amble space opportunity for expansion for the training, research and outreach activities. The Faculty became operational in 2007. At undergraduate level, the Faculty currently trains professional teachers in sciences in the subjects of Agriculture, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Studies, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics.
Associate Professor David Kani Olema

The education background I got from Busitema University and my living experience in the FSE has contributed tremendously in my career path. My current job requires engagement with students from various regions and working in a multi-cultural environment.
It has been easier for me to work with prior mentors due to my experience at Faculty and the diversity that it provided.
The fact that it has students from all over the country and beyond and helps them to learn and appreciate other cultures. For a student seeking to study in a dynamic international environment that also offers tranquility, Busitema University is a place to consider.
